TaubergießenThe nature reserve is about 1 km from Rheinhausen. The area is full of waterways and is home to many endangered animals and plants. It is a favorite day trip for many hikers and bike riders alike. Another option to see the area is by boat (guided boat tour) and we are happy to assist you with making the necessary arrangements. KaiserstuhlThe sunny Kaiserstuhl is the warmest region in Germany. It is famous for its very good wines. ElsassElsass, the smallest french region is located between the Vogesen and the Rhein near the german border, approx. 8km from Rheinhausen.
Black ForestThe Black Forest is the largest wooded mountain range in southwestern Germany. Within roughly an hour you can be in Titisee, Schluchsee or even Feldberg. You can drive by car or take the train and enjoy the scenery. FreiburgFreiburg is approximately 30 minutes by train or car via interstate A5.
It is a very quaint university town with a system of gutters (Baechle)
